Great looking place. Nice food. Would be an excellent wedding venue
Disappointing breakfast. Went because of some of the other reviews here but it was more expensive and less tasty than several star places in Whitby (Singing Kettle, Java, Moon & Sixpence...). Great presentation but horrible black pudding, insipid, watery tea & no toast or any accompaniments.
Lovely welcome here. Called in at 3.30pm on a wet windy day on the way to our holiday cottage near Whitby. Lovely roaring open fire.Fabulous open sandwiches and a welcome drink, no problem in the middle of the afternoon.
We ate here and loved the setting. The staff were very nice and friendly. I had the gammon which was full of flavour and tender. Loved every mouthful. Please give it a visit you will not be disappointed .
I have never been to such a beautiful wedding in such a beautiful setting until I had the utmost pleasure of being a guest at a wedding here.From the service to the reception, EVERYTHING was perfect.The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be returning to have a Sunday roast here!Some of the guests were staying (although they don't have many rooms so be sure to book!) so had the opportunity to check the rooms out. I can only say that I wish I was staying there! Such beautiful rooms.Everything has 'The Stables' touch, and it's brilliant! (Seats made from horseshoes!)It was a really hot day an I suggest you take a small fan an dress in light clothing as it can get warm if you're attending a wedding. But the staff the food and the surroundings made sure nothing could spoil this wonderful day!Well done The Stables! Oh! There's even some tiny horses!This place is a huge success... Well done to the owners for what you have done with the place!
