Best pie ever! Would recommend to anyone.Usual pies, I had sausage and black pudding and was lovely.
Nice little cafe, although too many tables, making mobility awkward and seating a bit cramped.My choice of Romany Hommity Pie was good, without being outstanding. Whilst I'm not a fan of vegetables that have been cooked within an inch of their lives, the onions in this pie were a bit on the crunchy side and even if intentional, I felt they should have been cooked longer. The mash was more like potato puree, but would have benefited from being of a more traditional consistency. The mushy peas and gravy were as you might expect.Service was fine and at 7.99 for the above, value for money was excellent. I would happily eat there again, if I happened to be nearby, but I wouldn't make a special journey.
Nice cosy, quaint little place. All our pies were nice, decent size portions too. Only negative was they said it would take half an hour to make the Christmas special pie, as there were none made ready, and the rest of the order would only be 5 minutes. Therefore hubby had to choose a different pie. They did apologize and were very helpful, so will definitely visit again next year when we are back in Whitby
Lovely little Pie cafe/restaurant - had the Sausage and Black Pudding pie which was lovely and rich. Dealt with the rush (queue long enough to fill the place on opening!) admirably.
Loved this place. 1940s music and food was fab. Good selection of pies, we had the steak and ale and goats cheese and veg. Both were excellent and really tasty. Staff and service was excellent. Will definitely be back and would recommend this place
