Very small portions everything is extra ie I ordered what I thought was fish and chips at 12.95 what I got was a very small piece of fish on a plate the half dozen chips was extra and cost 3.50 my wife ordered the linguine when it arrived it looked like it came from a tin and about a spoonful in the bottom of the bowl the menu said it had chilli in it but didn't say it was almost all chilli and impossible to eat she left it after a couple of tastes it burnt her throat quite badly this was reported to the staff who wasn't in the slightest bothered by my wife's choking and gasping so for 30some it was awfully poor needless to say we will not be back again

Food and service very good, the surroundings are very authentic. One problem we were freezing eating our lunch, apparently the door has to be kept open, it was a very cold October day. Think this needs addressing !

Incredible collection of Victorian carved Whitby Jet. In a beautiful Victorian building. Showcases explaining Jet and why it was so popular with Queen Victorian and therefore all rich Victorians. Fits in perfectly with KS2 Victorian projects. Unfortunately no leaflets or resources yet.

As a lover of all things Whitby Jet, this museum is a must see place to go to. I have never seen such incredible masterpieces of carved vintage jewellery. The collection is open to the public to view FREE OF CHARGE. Well worth the visit. There is a cafe inside too

Lovely place staff are very welcoming
