The batter recipe is certainly tried and tested with large groups queuing to grab a seat in the popular restaurant. Failing that there is always the option to take away.Crispy, flavoursome batter covering the glistening white fish, accompanied by a generous stack of chippy chips and jug of the staple curry sauce. All washed down with Yorkshire tea, this place really has got their quality down to a... well.. TEA!
Lovely meal, glad there are healthy options. I had poached salmon and vegetables, beautifully cooked. Hubby had cod and chips, he said it was delicious.
I adore the fish & chips from here. It's never once been bad. Staff are also incredibly polite and you can always have a good chat. Thank you!
Only just called In here at 8.05 pm Friday 16th November. Waitress bustled over said sorry we've been busy. There were loads of tables. She chose 1 and started to wipe it down. My husband looked around and saw a nice table opposite. We said we'll have this one please. She said i haven't wiped that one down. We said it's fine can you wipe it now and we prefer this one. Then she said we don't like to give this one as it's noisy near the kitchen. We said we'd still prefer it. She then said well move out of the way then n started to wipe it.We said forget t love will leave it and walked out. Went to our usual four seasons Turkish who were courteous as usual. Been to Mr chips before and was great but this rude waitress has put us off forever.
World Class fish and chips! Great desserts and a good cup of tea!The dining space is only small so there is a possibility of having to wait - I had around 15 minute wait around 2.30PM on Halloween Weekend.Couldn't recommend this place more as I have never Thad a bad experience.
