Great place to eat, because its named the fish box,yes you do get your meal in a box but believe me I thought it was the best fish and chips Iv had for a long time.Its very clean and you get good value for your money.I would definitely go there again and definitely recommend this place.
Whitby and fish and chips go hand in hand...we had lunch here and loved the idea of the Fish Boxes both my wife and I had cod with good old mushy peas... Both meals were freshly cooked for us in about 10 minutes and we're absolutely gorgeous! Piping hot, really good fish, chips, and especially mushy peas! Loved every mouthful! If you're in Whitby do yourself a favour and drop in here...you won't regret it!

Why dont we have these all over the country? What a good idea! Bringing fish and chips into the 21st century. Fish couldnt have been fresher or better cooked. Portion sizes that can be finished by normal people (including childrens fish at a very reasonable price).
Lovely well cooked food, they were delicious and not greasy at all. As the name suggests you can have your fish and chips (amongst other things) in a box as a special with a side and either a hot or cold drink. Tried a homemade fishcake this time, it was really crispy and tasty. Expected it to be layered sliced potato and fish in a crispy battery but it was minced white fish and mashed potato with parsley, so I would be inclined to call it a parsley fishcake.
