Good site. Great for camping or just pop in for excellent breakfast and superb ice cream. Fogs and children loved it.
Member of the CCClub. At the August bank holiday. This was in my opinion over subscribed. 2 fields+ and children's playground. Barbecues gave a purple haze.children screaming enjoying themselves. Showers and toilet along with ice cream. In a lovely setting. Suggest avoiding Bank holidays.
Nice caf, reasonable prices, good food, ample parking. Great ice cream. Lovely people, the owner handed me his mobile phone so I could call the AA when my car wouldn't start. Great.
Fabulous ice cream. Caravan and camping club 5 pitches okay and great value for money. Have to site van with front facing Whitby and awning on left which is great for views but means you have to push van on and off the stoned pitch although staff would help if requested. Easy for campervans though as can pull straight on. Decent toilets and showers too although limited space as only one hook to put stuff on and nowhere for products other than floor when in shower. Tea rooms on site serving breakfast, snacks, cakes, drinks and their own ice cream. Cinder toffee ice cream was popular with our group. Think we had ice cream every day! Tent pitches on field seemed very popular and mostly full during our stay. Short drive from Whitby. Pub is next door!
Stayed during the first week of the summer holidays.We visited the ice-cream parlour and whilst the ice-cream was good the portions were a bit skimpy.!! Which was a shame.The showers were ok although could have done with a good clean as it was situated in the toilet block and the toilets smelt of stale urine.!! On the whole though was good value for money,and would probably stay again at a push.
