For such a small older building the facilitys in the leisure centre are really good. Managed to get a membership early last year in a hope to shed some weight and chiefly get fit and many thanks to all the staff in the gym area who have helped me achieve my goals. Its now moved on from wanting to get fit to being a hobby and feel like Im missing something if Im not attending the gym. If your looking for help and motivation get yourself down to the gym today and speak to some of the staff as they are really helpful friendly and polite! Could not recommend enough. Id rate you 10/5 if I could.
We were just visiting Whitby, but when the weather was too wet this turned out to be a great way for the kids to burn off that energy. Friendly staff and clean surroundings. A definite recommendation.
Leisure centre was being used for a venue during the whitby goth weekend. Seemed like a good place, layout was a little confusing but was well signposted. Can't really comment on what was available here as a leisure centre since I was here for the gothic stalls!
Good facilities, if pay for parking and spend 7 you'll get 3 back if you use the leisure centre.
I only go here to attend the gym while I work here. Good selection of gym and cardio equipment for a reasonable monthly membership considering its Whitby.Dont really use the pool or the sports hall. But all in all it does the job and despite what others may say I find the staff friendly and helpful (and Ive been there on & off for nearly a year).Also, if you need to park to use the car park they will refund the fee if you tear off the slip from your parking ticket.
